Sweeney Todd
Fantastic. I attended a June performance of Sweeney Todd and only today discovered your "post a comment" section of your web site. Even after more than a month, I still can envision the sets, the costumes, and the excellent performances of the actors. I can't express how impressed I am by the quality of this presentation by ACP. The chorus was vibrant; the lead actors remarkably talented; the director inspired. I've been a member of ACP for years now and have witnessed its growth (both physical and artistic) into a wonderful community GEM. Thanks for giving Aiken a beautiful theatrical experience. I am eagerly looking forward to the summer plays and the upcoming 2008-09 season.

Captivating...
Last night, some of my friends and I went to see Sweeney Todd. Today, I can't stop talking about what an amazing show it was! In all honesty, we went to see Jim Anderson as Mr. Todd. We had no way of knowing we'd be enticed by EVERY character on stage, including him. Jim, an upbeat guy by day, was mesmerizing in the dark role of Sweeney. The part of Mrs. Lovett was made for Betsy Wilson-Mahoney and she did an AMAZING job bringing the character to life. One of my favorite parts was the EPIPHANY scene. Betsy's timing was perfection. And who could have guessed that Adam Shults' portrayal of Pirelli would be one of the favorites my group had. For a moment, we thought the show was "Pirelli's Miracle Elixir" for all the gusto he showed. The voices...the excitement...the chills, ACP - we're fans for life!

Aiken is blessed with such talent. Keep up the great work!

Sweeney Perfection
After seeing the production last night I have to tell you how perfect Sweeney Todd was.
The audience was completely enraptured by the story, the characters and simply everything about the show.
I became a season member after seeing the first act. I can't wait to see more from our community of talented actors! A big round of applause to everyone involved. It was the best night of theater I have had in many years!

Touring Show?
I had to ask the person in charge of the theater if the cast of Sweeney Todd was a touring show during intermission.
We seriously thought that it was.
I and my wife were amazed at the professionalism of the production.
The Playhouse has come a long way.
High Praise to all involved at the Playhouse for the growth and commitment to the arts in this community!

Bravo!!!!
Sweet Todd was/ is one of your BEST performances this year! I went last Saturday, & I've invited a friend to see it with me again. Kudos to the entire cast, especially, to the props & set design crew. It was SO creative.
